DATEN BRIDGE CLUB
The Daten Bridge Club was formed in 1962 as a section of the Daten Sports and Social Club (now the Culcheth Sports Club),
by members who were interested in playing duplicate bridge. Membership is open to all, provided that they are also Members
of Culcheth Sports Club.
The Club plays in the Hall Annexe on Wednesday and Sunday evenings throughout the year. On Wednesdays, play commences at
7.25pm and finishes at approximately 10.30 pm. On Sundays the start time is 7.15pm.
There are internal competitions on the first and second Wednesdays of the month and a team's event on any fifth Wednesday.
We publish an annual Bridge Club Diary that lists all these competitive Club events and any other special Tournaments, which
we occasionally organise. A copy of this Diary is provided for all Club Members and also available to potential new members
on request.
The Club Membership is currently approximately 60. We normally have about 6 - 8 tables on Wednesdays and 4 - 6 on
Sundays. New members are welcome, but they should have a good working knowledge of the game as we have no facilities for
teaching. Anyone who wishes to become a Member, or who would like to play on a casual basis before joining, must
contact one of the Club Officials below before they attend.
MEMBERSHIP & PLAYING FEES
The Club Annual Membership Fee is £5.00 and there is also a session fee (table money) of £1-00.
